Over the course of his consulting career, Nick developed broad engagement experience in new product development, competitive assessment and benchmarking, channel and sales force management, and mergers & acquisitions. Prior to Telephia, Nick spent eight years in consulting at Swander, Pace & Company and Braxton Associates, primarily working with consumer packaged goods manufacturer and retailer clients. Nick came to Nielsen by way of the firm’s 2007 acquisition of mobile analytics firm Telephia, where, as a founding team member, Nick was involved in the development and management of the company’s strategy, products, marketing and commercial efforts, and corporate development activities. Notably, Nick was the Senior Vice President at The Nielsen Company (NLSN), where he led the launch of Nielsen’s mobile business outside of North America.

Before joining Rakuten, Nick was a consummate entrepreneur, founding companies in the mobile analytics and fintech industries, and consulting CPG and retail brands. An experienced operator and corporate strategist, Nick is focused on leveraging proprietary data, advanced data science, and real-time technology to drive growth for brands and create new opportunities across Rakuten Group. Nick is responsible for Rakuten Advertising’s day-to-day operations and provides strategic guidance to ensure the company is accelerating its speed of innovation and corporate growth. She lives in Burlingame, California with her husband and two children. Previously, Adrienne was President at several Toronto-based digital marketing agencies and technology start-ups, as well as Vice President, Operations at MacLaren MRM (now MRM McCann).A graduate of Queen’s University and a Toronto native, Adrienne is a board member at Canada’s National Ballet School and a Toronto-based start-up called FlipGive. In 2017, she transferred to San Mateo, California to take on the role of Chief Operating Officer at Rakuten Rewards (then Ebates Inc). Under her stewardship, Ebates Canada enjoyed explosive growth, attaining profitability and market leadership in the affiliate marketing sector within three years. Adrienne joined Rakuten Rewards (then Ebates) in 2012 to launch its Canadian business. An astute operational leader with and deep digital marketing experience, Adrienne leads the corporate Human Resources, Information Technology and Security, Legal, Sports & Entertainment Marketing, Communications, and Facilities functions, among others. Adrienne Down Coulson is Chief Operating Officer at Rakuten Americas where she is responsible for the operations and corporate services across 10 business units operating in six countries with 3,500 employees.
